Currently, Biman operates a fleet of 14 planes Boeing —787-9, 787-8, 777 and 737 new generation—in its international long and short distance networks. The order includes:

- Four 737-8, the airline's first order 737 MAX, to efficiently connect Bangladesh with destinations in the Middle East, India and Southeast Asia.
The 737-8 will support the renewal of Biman's single-aisle fleet and help the airline meet growing regional demand. The families 737 MAX and 787 offer improved fuel consumption 20-25% compared to the aircraft they replace.
