as i mentioned before, the subject varies a lot from country to country, but you must prepare to spend at least one day undergoing tests at the medical center.
If the doctor finds a problem, it is not that he will not definitively grant you the certificate, but it will issue a series of recommendations to take into account or request treatments prior to granting the certificate. It is very well known that psychological tests in Ecuador are very demanding and many applicants are sent to therapy before delivering the certificate..
English

Another very important factor for my point of view is the availability and maintenance of aircraft.. The days will be accompanied by simple evaluations until the day you are introduced to your flight instructor. And it will prepare you for your first flight. That day your instructor will ask you to familiarize yourself with the control systems of the aircraft and with your local airport, study the clues, los taxiways, location of ramps and buildings so you know how to locate yourself.
You made it to your first flight! Your instructor will teach you how to do a Pre-flight, check the condition of the aircraft before the flight, With a checklist in hand, they will check the plane and verify that it is fit for flight.. You will later develop this task on your own day by day..

As you become more comfortable handling the aircraft, the instructor will be limited to monitoring your actions and evaluating them and it will be you as a student who will be in control most of the time. A good instructor is the one who allows the student the most time to control the aircraft.
As your flight training progresses, spend your flight alone, do cross-country flights and feel safe in your classes, evaluations will arrive. These generally consist of an oral exam stage and a flight exam stage where you must demonstrate what you have learned and studied..

For the day of your check-up you must have all your papers in order, medical exam, logbook signed and authorized by the instructor, and any paperwork that may include calculations and previous flight plans.
You will start with a very rigorous oral exam that can last between 2 a 6 hours. It will verify all the knowledge required to obtain each license, many times the payment of each checkup is apart from the cost of your training.
The examiners are very rigorous and in some cases aggressive and intimidating in order to put you under pressure and assess your stress management and general performance.. At the end of the day, there are two results you can get, The first is that the examiner approves your performance in the knowledge check as well as in flight and grants you your certificate or your license.. And second you fail the check, in this case you can pass the oral exam and fail the flight, either pass the flight test and fail the oral or fail both. If this is the case, the examiner will require that you return to your instructor for additional training and repeat your check.. In most cases you will be required to repeat the maneuver or demonstrate the knowledge in which you failed only, but there are examiners who re-evaluate everything again.

It's not the end of the world, in the end it translates into additional costs in training and exams, but the hardest part is accepting that you failed, It's a moral blow! Nobody wants to fail a checkup, but like everything in life you must learn from your mistakes and continue.
A failed checkup is a speck on your resume, yes., and you will have to face it later in your career, especially in your interview stage for airlines where you will have to answer honestly why you failed and how that helped you to improve in your career.. Always expect in an interview the question of if you have failed a check and why. That is why in the school environment you always hear: “Fail in any part of your training, except the checkup!”.

Your life as a student pilot will take you down rewarding paths, However, you will also find disappointments and frustrations, your mind will be divided many times between your performance and the money you invest, an unsatisfactory flight lesson is a blow to your pocket that you must learn to handle but in the end everything will depend on your dedication and your desire to learn, aviation is not a career for someone who finds it difficult to study, you will have to study for the rest of your professional career and you will be subjected to constant exams and evaluations, The most important thing is dedication and the desire to study, your instructors can teach you everything but it will depend only on you and your effort to achieve your goal. I don't think there are schools that do the courses in Spanish, since the flights, communications and manuals are in English, but you lose nothing by asking, but i highly doubt it.
