The airline Air France will fly all year to Quito and will operate the Boeing 787 Dreamliner a la capital.
Very little time has passed since official announcement of this new route of the Air France group – KLM so that the airline, thanks to excellent acceptance by the market represented in sales, will make the decision to extend the operation to the whole year and not only seasonally during the European summer as was the initial planning of the route.
Users will be able to fly to Quito all year round thanks to the 3 weekly flights that from 23 May 2019 the airline will implement on board the latest long-haul cabins of the Airbus A340 for the summer season (30 business cabin seats, 21 seats in the cabin Premium Cabin Premium and 227 Economy cabin seats).
Subsequently, will begin regular operations on this route with Boeing aircraft 787 for the winter season 2019-2020 (30 business cabin seats, 21 seats in the Premium Economy cabin and 225 Economy cabin seats).
Schedules
flight schedules (in local time) from the 23 May to 26 October 2019, day when the direct flights to Quito start are:
- AF646: exit from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to the 1:10 pm, arrival in Quito at 6:10 pm.
- AF641: departure from Quito at 20:10, arrival in Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 14:20, the next day.
These flights will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays on Airbus A340 aircraft as the initial part of the route launch.
For the winter season and how extension of the operation, the flight schedule (in local time) from the 27 October 2019 al 28 march 2020 they will be:
- AF646: departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 13:10, arrival in Quito at 19:20.
- AF641: departure from Quito at 21:20, arrival in Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 14:20, the next day.
This will be the first airline to regularly operate regular commercial flights to Quito and will allow the technology and performance of one of Boeing's flagship aircraft to be tested.
