Last 28 of March LATAM Airlines made the first aerial drawing of South America with a Boeing 767-300ER, I was part of this interesting event.
Within the framework of presentation of the new boeing cabins 767 made with an overflight south of Lima, near the Nazca lines, la aerolínea realizó lo que se conoce como un «dibujo aéreo».
Aerial drawing refers to the representation in the air of a word or form that is recorded in flight tracking services such as Flight Radar 24 and this case was no exception.
The flight
With an approximate duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes, Latam Airlines marked an interesting and different milestone for South American aviation by making the first aerial drawing, while in its interior the renewed cabins of the Boeing were officially presented in society 767 after completing the retrofit process of the first of 35 aircraft of this model.
On this flight I was able to be present as a guest of the airline and here I leave with you the chronicle of what was a unique and incredible experience for who we are. AvGeek.

the boeing 767 registration CC-CXC is the first to carry the new LATAM Airlines cabins and was where the first aerial drawing of South America was made.

Once detached from Lima Jorge Chavez Airport, the plane headed south, heading towards the Pisco VOR in initial climb to 23 thousand feet.

were more than 2 hours and a half of flight so that the first aerial drawing made in South America can be completed. The figure made was an airplane, with an approximate size of 150 nautical miles that began in the Pisco VOR and that to make it even more special, flew over the famous Nazca lines too.
In this video we can see in time-lapse how the whole process of drawing the special plane in the air was experienced from the plane as part of the presentation of the new Boeing cabins 767 from LATAM Airlines.

Were 43 points or coordinates that allowed the crew to draw the plane in the air, this process to enter it into the flight computer took approximately 1 hour and half.

Once landed back in Lima, I was able to enter the cockpit and talk with the pilots, who I invited to see his artwork on Flight Radar 24, they were very happy and excited about what was done.

Special thanks to LATAM Airlines for being part of this important event and also getting to know their new cabins as part of the retrofit process of more than 200 aircraft.
