This aircraft has the serial number MSN 7864 and just 1.4 years since its first test flight. Arrived at the airline directly from the manufacturer Airbus, is propelled by 2 PW1100G engines, with a maximum capacity for 174 passengers in a single class or for 164 in two classes as configured for international operation, as was the case with this first flight.
The occupancy of the arrival flight from Santiago was 162 passengers and the return departure from Quito with 156 passengers, showing a very important and interesting initial occupation.
By the arrival time of this flight, passengers arriving from Chile will be able to connect with Guayaquil, Galapagos and Cuenca, while those arriving from Ecuador will be able to connect to more than 20 domestic and international destinations of the Chilean airline.
This direct operation comes thanks to the improved performance of the Airbus A320Neo aircraft, which allows to fly from the height of Quito without major limitations as it happened before.
The hours of operation of these flights are as follows:
- From Santiago the flight will take off at 6:00 am and will land in Quito at 9:00 am. with a duration of approximately 5 hours.
- For the return from Quito, the flight will take off at 09:55 am and will land back in Santiago at 16:55 pm. after 5 hours approximately.
