airlines GOAL and Tame have an interline agreement for the sale of tickets between Brazil and Ecuador, reaching even up, Galapagos.
In order to offer better options as a final destination Ecuador for Brazilian passengers and in connection to our country from countries like Argentina, Uruguay or Paraguay, la aerolínea ya considerada como «semi low cost» y la estatal Tame EP signed a commercial agreement that allows the former to sell seats on the different flights that the Ecuadorian flag carrier offers from Quito, despite the fact that there is no official statement from any of the airlines, I came across this news on the GOL website and I thought it was appropriate to report it.
From the Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport, Tame will offer passengers arriving on the direct flight from the International Airport Guarulhos from Sao Paulo, initially the following destinations:
- Guayaquil.
- Galapagos Islands – Baltra Seymur Airport.
These flights are already available for sale on the GOL website and we could expect destinations such as Cuenca to be added soon, Blanket and Loja on offer, more San Cristóbal also in the Galapagos for its great tourist potential.
Waiting times between connections for passengers arriving from Brazil to Ecuador will be approximately 8 hours, while for the return it will be variable depending on whether the flight originates in Guayaquil or Baltra.

GOL passengers and those who fly with Tame EP will obtain the following benefits based on the agreement:
- Purchase, unique check-in and baggage check-in to fly with GOL and Tame.
- Free access to the domestic GOL Premium Lounge (Aeropuerto Internacional de Guarulhos y Aeropuerto Internacional Tom Jobim– RIOgaleão). Free access to the GOL Premium Lounge is offered to Diamond and Gold clients of the Smiles program.
At the moment it is unknown if in the near future Tame will also be able to market GOL flights on its web system, since an interline agreement differs from one of shared code and can be limited to unidirectional.
This agreement will allow Tame to improve its occupation and income in order to get ahead of the well-known situation of the state airline.
