The Ecuadorian Air Force graduated the First two female Fighter Pilots in the country as part of the promotion 65 from FAE.

After a long and demanding training, the now Lieutenant pilot,which required more than 300 hours of theoretical training – technician, more of 30 hours of practice in a flight simulator with practice procedures, military operation and emergencies, plus those required 60 hours of flights in the corresponding equipment, allowed María José and Jazmin to fulfill their objectives.

They began their pilot career 8 years ago at the Cosme Renela Air Force pilot school, located at Salinas Airport, Santa Elena province. There, along with his classmates, they went through several stages and training processes, until flying the Super Tucano aircraft as final training to achieve the rank of fighter pilot.
