To fly between the cities of Guayaquil and Quito passengers no longer need to submit test results negative test to address.
After expiration of the resolution issued by the National COE, the 22 July 2020 last, the requirement to submit a negative test for passengers flying between Guayaquil and Quito no longer necessary.
In the last resolution of the COE the following was specified:
Issue an extension to the day 21 august 2020, for the application of COVID-19 tests, at the place of origin of the flights between the cities of Quito and Guayaquil.
For this reason and after not having issued a new resolution by the National Government, from the past 22 august 2020 the passengers they must not present the rapid test or PCR to be able to board the main domestic air route of Ecuador.
This requirement that ceased to be mandatory, was born from the request of the cantonal COE of Guayaquil, with which it sought to have control of passengers traveling from Quito to this city after the restart of flights on 1 of June, but that has now been lifted and will be able to help the airlines that operate between both airports improve their occupancy rates.
