It's been several months since this plane was finished, but the pandemic in the middle affected the airline's plans to receive it given the global reduction in demand. While progress is made in the recovery of the airline industry, ANA has seen a progressive recovery, even more so on the route where these three planes will operate weekly: Narita – Honolulu.
To date, more than 240 Airbus A380, of which about a 20% it's flying. Among the most recent operators is All Nippon Airways (ANA), optimizing flight services on the most popular holiday route in Japan connecting Tokyo Narita International Airport and Honolulu in the Hawaiian Islands of the United States.
ANA's Airbus A380s
With the arrival of its third A380, ANA may offer at least 14 A380 flights per week on the route Narita – Honolulu, where the airline's offer will progressively recover.
Like the previous two, the third A380 from ANA is painted in a special livery depicting the Hawaiian green sea turtle (also known as Hon). The latest orange design of this A380, inspired by the hawaiian sunset, first seen when the plane recently left the Airbus paint shop in Hamburg, Germany.
The first “FLYING HONU” entered service on ANA's Narita-Honolulu route in May 2019 and features a blue design representing the blue skies of Hawaii. the second plane, also delivered last year, it is painted emerald green to match the transparent oceans that surround the Pacific island chain.
El A380, before the pandemic, took off or landed somewhere in the world every two minutes, but the situation in the market has brought it ashore, where there are few airlines like Emirates that continue to operate them despite the current conditions.
Data
