The new entry requirements to Spain since February

The measure enters into force from this 1 February 2022, Since when should a certificate of applied booster dose be submitted?:

  • Only vaccination certificates will be considered valid to enter Spain provided that at least 14 days from the end of the vaccination schedule (second dose, in two-dose vaccines, the only, in single doses).and that no more than 270 days from the date of administration of the last dose of the complete vaccination regimen. from that moment, The vaccination certificate issued by the competent authority of the country of origin must reflect the administration of a booster dose.​
  • To prove vaccination, any certificate issued by local authorities will do, no need for specific format, as long as it contains at least the following information:
    1. Name and surname of titular.
    2. vaccination date, indicating the date of the last dose administered.
    3. Type of vaccine administered.
    4. Number of doses administered/complete regimen.
    5. issuing country.
    6. Identification of the agency issuing the vaccination certificate.
  • Certificate confirming that the holder has recovered from COVID-19 (recovery certificate). medical certificate proving having overcome SARS-CoV-2.
  • The minors of 12 years are exempt from presenting these requirements.
  • People not included in those categories (tourists) they can only travel if they are vaccinated, with completed vaccination regimen, after 14 days since the regimen was completed. They cannot travel if they are not vaccinated.
  • All people traveling to Spain, regardless of their nationality, age or status, including those traveling in transit to other countries, must complete a health control form through the web before departure www.spth.gob.es​ or the Spain Travel Health –SpTH– application, available on Android and iOS. After completing the health control form, SpTH will generate an individualized QR code that the traveler must present to the transport companies before boarding, as well as in the health controls at the point of entry into Spain.
