Since February, the requirements to travel and enter Ecuador on international flights and also for flights to Galapagos.

With a statement from 31 of January of 2022, The Government of Ecuador through the Ministry of Public Health have updated the health requirements to be able to travel to Ecuador and Galapagos.
in these changes, although there is still more to be done for a true flexibility and release of restrictions that finally support the recovery of the airline industry and tourism, the option of presenting an antigen test is highlighted.
These guidelines for Ecuador and Galapagos will come into force from the 2 February 2022.
February new requirements to enter Ecuador
- Every passenger entering the country, greater than 16 years, must submit the mandatory vaccination card against COVID-19 with at least 14 days of validity after completing the scheme and the negative result of a antigen test the negative result of qualitative RT-PCR test in real time made up to 72 hours prior to shipment to Ecuador.
- Crew members are exempt from these requirements.
- For children between 2 and 16 must present a negative result of an antigen test or a negative result of a qualitative real-time RT-PCR test carried out up to 72 hours prior to shipment to Ecuador.
- Any person who enters mainland Ecuador by international air must submit the Traveler's Health Declaration digitally when boarding the airline., is available at the following link: https://declaracionsalud-msp.gob.ec/, if the platform is not available, you must submit the physical form. It is worth mentioning that travelers who fill out the digital form no longer need to present the form at the point of entry to the Ministry of Health..
Requirements to travel to Galapagos
- Foreign tourists, national tourists and/or residents in Galapagos older than 16 years, must submit the mandatory vaccination card against COVID-19 with at least 14 days of validity after completing the scheme and the negative result of a antigen test the negative result of qualitative RT-PCR test in real time made up to 72 hours prior to embarkation to Insular Ecuador. Crew members are exempt from these requirements.
- For children between 2 and 16 must present a negative result of an antigen test or a negative result of a qualitative real-time RT-PCR test carried out up to 72 hours prior to embarkation to Insular Ecuador.
- Transit Control Card – TCT that is acquired at the airports of Quito and Guayaquil.
