The dynamic Peruvian commercial air market moves again with the arrival of a new domestic operator that joins the current airlines: LATAM Peru, Sky Airline Perú, ATSA Peru, Long live Peru and Star Peru.

After going through the respective process of certification before the Peruvian authorities, the Tuesday 14 June 2022 past the 11 hours, the first regular domestic flight took off JetSmart with its subsidiary in Peru, from the, in enlargement, Lima International Airport.
The first flight was in charge of one of the two Airbus A320neo that the airline has based in Lima for the start of operations baptized Cap. FAP Jose A. Quinones G, who is a Peruvian national hero for his combat actions during the border conflict of 1941 with Ecuador.
For the beginning of next August, the airline will be operating the following routes:

- Piura – Arequipa
Son 13 initial domestic routes, of which 4 routes are interregional, which will make it possible to increase air connectivity and boost tourism with flights that do not pass through Lima.
During the inaugural event, representatives of the airline indicated the objective of closing this 2022 with a fleet of 5 airplanes and for 2023 at least nine are projected planes, subject to the evolution of demand and business opportunities.

Lima – Chiclayo, when ?
And the prices of the tickets by sections and one-way return.
Thank you very much.
Hello there! Prices will be known when the route is announced, before it is impossible.
Suddenly they first evaluate high demand routes. For example Bogotá -Quito is a high traffic route, also Miami-Quito or Panama-Quito. These routes have several flights per day.
Now in the case of Peru, Lima-Quito currently flies LATAM but it is not yet a route with high demand, Airbus A319 equipment is generally used. So first they will see Santiago as Nicolás says, Peru and Chile have a lot of traffic in people and goods.
But to fly from Quito, they would have to create a subsidiary in Ecuador, I meant that JetSmart Chile arrives first, for example.
Nincolas I do not say fly from Quito, to Lima, I say from Lima to Quito.
Just as Wingo does from Bogotá to Quito and there is no subsidiary Wingo Ecuador.
Yes, so I say, that at least they start from Santiago with international flights to Ecuador to start establishing a presence in the country. As they have done with Colombia and Peru, where the last case was first international flights and then they opened a subsidiary.
In a future Jetsmart, will have internal flights in Ecuador?
hard to tell, they have not shown their interest, a good first step would be to at least start international flights from Chile for example.
