The airline United Airlines announced new international routes to Europe that will begin operations from 2023.
From the 2023, United adds new routes to its network from USA: Málaga, Spain; Stockholm, Sweden; and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as well as six more flights to some of Europe's most popular destinations, including Rome, Paris, Barcelona, London, Berlin and Shannon. Total, United will fly to 37 cities in Europe, Africa, India and the Middle East next summer, more destinations than all other US airlines combined.
United experienced historic levels of travel demand to Europe at the peak of summer, a 20% more than 2019, and focuses on developing its network to meet continuous demand.
New United routes
In addition to adding new flights, United will fly nine routes it added last summer, including direct flights between New York/Newark and Nice; Denver and Munich; Boston y Londres Heathrow; Chicago/O'Hare and Zurich; and Chicago/O'Hare and Milan, as well as flights to four destinations not offered by any other North American airline, including Amman, Jordan; Azores, Portugal; Palma de Mallorca, Spain and Tenerife, Spain.

New York/Newark – Malaga, Spain*
United adds a fifth Spanish destination to its global network with new direct flights between New York/Newark and Malaga. From 31 of May, travelers will be able to explore the Mediterranean coast of Spain with three weekly flights to Malaga in a Boeing 757-200. United flies to more destinations in Spain than any other US airline and next summer will offer direct flights to three Spanish cities that are not served by any other US airline: Málaga, Tenerife and Palma de Majorca.
New York/Newark – Dubai, United Arab Emirates*
As part of its historic trade agreement with Emirates, United will launch daily nonstop flights between New York/Newark and Dubai on a Boeing 777-200ER beginning 25 of March. From there, customers can travel on Emirates or its sister airline flydubai to more than 100 different cities, giving customers more options than ever to connect in the Middle East. United will be the only airline EE. UU. offering nonstop flights to Dubai from the US. and flies to more destinations in the Middle East and India than any other US airline.
New York/Newark–Stockholm, Sweden*
The 27 of May, United will return to Stockholm for the first time since 2019 serviced from New/York Newark. United began serving Stockholm, which locals proudly refer to as the “beauty above the water”, on 2005. United will reconnect customers to this culturally rich and dynamic capital city with daily flights on a Boeing 757-200.
San Francisco – Rome, Italia*
United expands its industry-leading European network from San Francisco with daily flights to Rome launching on 25 May on a Boeing 777-200ER. United is the only US airline to offer direct flights to Europe from its San Francisco hub., and next summer will offer direct flights to seven popular European cities. With flights to Rome, Milan, Venice and Naples, United continues to fly to more Italian cities from the US. UU. than any other airline in the world.
Chicago/O’Hare – Shannon, Ireland*
From 25 of May, United to add more seasonal flights to Shannon, Ireland, with new daily flights from Chicago O'Hare, giving customers more options to explore some of the country's most scenic destinations, including Limerick and Galway. United is the only US airline to offer direct flights to Shannon with its current seasonal service from New York/Newark, and also offers direct flights to Dublin from Chicago, Nueva York/Newark y Washington Dulles. United will fly a Boeing 757-200 on this route.
Washington Dulles - Berlin, Germany*
Will begin capital-to-capital service between Washington, D.C. and Berlin, Germany, the 25 of May. United will be the only airline to offer nonstop flights between these cities with daily flights on a Boeing 767-400ER. United offers more flights to Berlin from the US. UU. than any other airline, with existing flights year-round from Newark.
Chicago/O’Hare – Barcelona, Spain*
United continues to expand its European network, best in class, from Chicago next summer with new daily direct flights to Barcelona in a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, from 25 of May. The next summer, United will fly to 14 destinations in Europe from Chicago, more than any other airline. This new flight builds on existing United service to Barcelona from New York/Newark and Washington Dulles.
More flights to Paris and London
United will have 23 daily flights to London Heathrow next summer, adding a second daily flight between Los Angeles and London Heathrow on 25 March in a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. United offers more flights and more business class seats from New York and the West Coast to London than any other US airline.. UU. and next summer, all United flights to London Heathrow will offer Polaris and Premium Plus seats with access to all aisles. This new flight builds on United's recent expansion in London, with additional flights from Newark, San Francisco and Denver, as well as new flights from Boston.
United is also adding more options for travel between Washington Dulles and Paris Charles de Gaulle with a second daily flight launching on 2 of June, operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. United currently offers year-round flights to Paris from New York/Newark, Washington Dulles, Chicago and San Francisco.
