After eight months of operation between Colombia and Venezuela, the low cost airline Wingo has transported more than 50 thousand passengers in this market.

Wingo consolidates itself as the airline with the most robust and representative operation among Colombia and Venezuela, after transporting more than 50.000 passengers in eight months. The airline has played a fundamental role in the reactivation of air connectivity between both countries.

Wingo with good numbers between Colombia and Venezuela

With seven weekly frequencies, four on the road Bogotá-Caracas and three in Medellín-Caracas, Wingo offers more than 10.000 monthly chairs between both markets, consolidating itself as a fundamental ally for citizens who demand direct connection between Colombia and Venezuela. Success on the Bogotá-Caracas route

  • After eight months of operation, Wingo reaches a load factor close to 90% more than 40.000 transported travelers.
  • Most of the travelers are Venezuelans, with diverse profiles ranging from business travelers to passengers visiting family.
  • Wingo increased its capacity on the route in December 2023 with an additional frequency.
    It currently offers four weekly flights (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) with rates from USD 110 one way.

Medellín-Caracas Route:

  • After 90 days of operation, Wingo achieves a load factor higher than 70% more than 10.000 transported travelers, being the only airline that connects Antioquia with Venezuela directly.
  • Most of the travelers are Venezuelans.
  • The implementation of direct flight by Wingo generated an increase in 500% in passenger traffic compared to 2023.
  • The 90% of passengers on the Medellín-Caracas route traveled with Wingo in the first three months of the 2024.
  • The airline offers three flights per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday) with rates from USD 102 one way.
