The recent First International Meeting of Tourism Journalists in Colombia has marked a milestone in the way we perceive and promote tourist destinations globally. This event, which brought together prominent professionals from various countries, has demonstrated the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing to boost the sector.
Between 27 of September and the 5 October this first initiative was held organized by Enfoque del Café Magazine, to which I was invited representing Ecuador. You may wonder what I was doing there.. First International Meeting of Tourism Journalists
The First International Meeting of Tourism Journalists has put the Coffee Axis in the spotlight of world tourism. Upon receiving a select group of tourism information professionals, travels, food and much more, each with a unique approach that allows the destination to be promoted even more broadly. The region has demonstrated its ability to offer unique and memorable experiences, where the union of the public and private sectors demonstrated the importance that tourism has for all actors in this beautiful area of Colombia.
What is the objective of this meeting?
The event's slogan is "journalism with a purpose", With this, we guests want to promote a new way of communicating, so that with our stories and publications we can change the future of cities, restaurants, pueblos, magical places and all the people with whom we lived during the seven days that this incredible tour lasted.
An entire week touring the Coffee Region and many of its most important tourist attractions, generating connections, friendship and the possibility of informing about the wonderful places we visited.
It is so that guests of Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina we made an appointment to start, from Pereira, in the first tour that changes the way of doing tourism press around the world.
