Korean Air has become a customer of the world's only brand new large freighter, following the conversion of seven of its passenger aircraft orders A350-1000 to the A350F.
«Korean Air is one of the largest cargo operators in the world», declared Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Executive Vice President of Sales of the Airbus Commercial Aircraft Division. «The decision to incorporate the A350F into its fleet represents, so, a very significant endorsement of the unique capabilities of the aircraft. The A350F will provide Korean Air with the most efficient solution in the large freighter segment.".

The A350F Features the largest main deck loading door in the industry, with fuselage length and capacity optimized for industry-standard pallets and containers.
more than 70% of the structure is made with advanced materials, which translates into takeoff weight 46 tons less than that of its competitor. The A350F is also the only cargo aircraft that will fully comply with ICAO's enhanced CO₂ emissions standards., which will come into force in 2027.
Currently in development, the A350F can carry a payload of up to 111 tons and will have an autonomy of up to 4700 nautical miles (8700 kilometres). Powered by modern Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, This aircraft will reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions by up to 40 % compared to previous generation aircraft with similar payload capacity and range.
At the end of September 2025, the new generation of the wide-body aircraft family A350 had received 1445 requests for 63 clients all over the world, including 65 orders for the new A350F 10 cargo airlines and a leasing company.
Korean Air has ordered a total of 33 A350 aircraft. Currently, the fleet consists of 20 A350-1000, seven A350F and six A350-900, of which the first two have already been delivered. What's more, The airline has pending orders for 39 planes A321neo single aisle.
