Welcome to a new Flight Report, On this occasion we fly Business Class from Munich toward Quito via Madrid with Iberia.

Crossing the Atlantic back home is always special, but this time I decided to document the entire journey from Germany until Ecuador flying with Iberia. I have divided this experience into two YouTube videos because the trip has two very different sides: a European regional flight and the great transatlantic leap in the most modern aircraft in the fleet.

Part 1: The start in Munich and connection in Madrid

The trip began at Munich Airport. For the first section up to Madrid, I flew in Iberia Regional Business Class operated by Air Nostrum. The interesting thing here is the plane: a CRJ 1000 and also my first time flying in one. It is not common to see executive cabins on regional aircraft, and in the video I show you what the service and comfort is like on this short journey.

What's more, In this first part I detail something that many ask me.: What is the connection like at Madrid Barajas Airport?? I show you the entire route from the Terminal 4 to Terminal 4S (Satellite), which is where long-haul international flights depart from.

You can see the first part here:

Part 2: The Airbus A350 and the return to Quito

The second part of the trip is the main course. Once in T4S Madrid and after solving the labyrinth of connection, The time has come to address the Airbus A350 from Iberia with destiny to Quito, but first passing through the airline's luxurious VIP lounge in Barajas. This is one of the most advanced aircraft in the world and the experience in its Business Class is another level.

In this video I show you:

  • Seating configuration and privacy on the A350.
  • The complete lunch and snack menu during the flight to Ecuador.
  • The quality of onboard entertainment and the comfort of sleeping over the ocean.
  • My final arrival at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito.

You can see the second part here:

Is Iberia Business worth it to go to Ecuador?

Through these two videos, My goal is for you to see if the investment is really justified for a trip of so many hours and what the current service of the Spanish airline is like on its route to Quito.. Definitely, All the extra space and service is greatly appreciated., even more so after so many hours of travel.

Have you ever made this connection in Madrid? Does T4 seem comfortable to you?? Tell me your experience in the video comments.
