The global airport industry gathered once again at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in London, where the winners of the prestigious Skytrax World Airport Awards 2026. In a year marked by the consolidation of operational recovery and investment in sustainability, Latin America has reaffirmed its regional leadership.
Best airports in Latin America 2026
For the eighth time in its history, the El Dorado International Airport (BOG) on Bogota has been awarded as the Best Airport in South America. The Colombian terminal not only maintains its hegemony in the region, but continues to stand out for its efficiency in migration processes and its growing technological infrastructure.
The big surprise of the day came from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), being named for the first time as the Best Airport in Central America and the Caribe. This recognition underlines the success of its recent expansions and its focus on the premium passenger experience, also managing to enter the Top for the first time 100 world.
