in June 2026, the international air cargo transported from, to and within Latin America and the Caribe reached 336.269 metric tons, 15.089 tons more than in the same month of 2025 (+4,7%).
It was the largest interannual variation recorded during 2026 and the sixth consecutive month of growth. Colombia and Brazil concentrated 74,3% of the regional increase, while Mexico returned to positive ground.
International air cargo in June 2026: main results
Although overall in the regions the load grew, behavior was not the same in all countries, falls occurring in some of them:
Colombia contributed almost half of the regional growth.
The country mobilized 67.310 tons (+11,6%) and registered 7.016 additional tons, equivalent to 46,5% of the regional increase. The runner with USA grew up 16,6%; within this market, cargo transported from the United States to Colombia increase 33,8%.
Brazil completed four consecutive months of growth and its main corridor increased again.
Brazil transported 77.822 tons (+5,7%). The runner with USA grew up 3,6%, its first positive variation after ten consecutive months of decline. The increase was concentrated in cargo from the United States to Brazil (+6,2%), while the opposite flow fell 2,0%.
Growth with the United States allowed Mexico to return to positive territory.
Mexico mobilized 58.128 tons (+1,8%). The corridor with the United States increased 12,6% and added 2.057 additional tons, compensating for the falls recorded with China, Hong Kong, Luxembourg and Spain.
Panama and Peru maintained positive results during June.
Panama grew up 7,2% and completed six consecutive months of increase. Peru recorded a variation of 6,7% and accumulated positive results in five of the first six months of the year.
Argentina's growth lost steam, while Ecuador and Chile finished close to the previous year's volumes.
Argentina it barely grew 0,3%, after increasing 25,1% in March, 14,0% in April and 4,7% in May. Ecuador fell 0,4% and Chile recorded a volume practically equal to that of June 2025.
