The route is suspended Tame from Quito and Guayaquil to Bogotá, which was only reopened in June 2018.
With surprise, but it was something that came to come in one way or another, it was learned that Tame also stops flying to Bogotá from 6 of March and thus closes this destiny that operated again 4 June 2018 and that we also announce it here as important growth news for the flag carrier.
UPDATE 05/03/2019
The airline was authorized to suspend the route between Quito/Guayaquil and Bogotá for a period of 1 year to count from 6 March under Resolution 03-2019:

—–
With verified information in the airline's web system, the last flight will be the 5 March and it is no longer possible to make reservations after that date.
Tame's fate has not been without controversy or trouble., generated by the triangular operation that connected Quito with Caracas via Bogota from the 11 September 2012.
This route had the return of Tame to Bogota the 9 July 2012 and given the known problems with the destination Caracas, the route suffered more than one temporary suspension and without a doubt, affected at the time the image of the airline in the Colombian market.
Now, the closure of flights to “El Dorado”, destination to which Tame came to operate on his last return with up to 2 daily flights from Quito and with 3 weekly flights from Guayaquil, adds to the recent cancellations/suspensions of Lima (also from the 6 of March), New York and Salinas, all within the plan to reduce unprofitable destinations, fleet and personnel that the airline is implementing for this 2019.
It is important to emphasize that since November Tame had already stopped flying from Guayaquil to Bogotá and also reduced its frequencies from Quito due to low demand for flights..
reasons
As we previously learned in an exclusive interview with the General Manager of Tame EP, the airline this 2019 will focus on recovering the domestic market and unifying its fleet, but maintaining in the international Fort Lauderdale and Cali (airline's oldest international route), but Lima and Bogotá were in a feasibility and profitability study.
Everything indicates that Bogotá does not meet the occupancy and profitability objectives that the airline expects and needs to clean up its finances, so together with Lima it was also a feeder route from New York, so it runs out of space on the route map of the state airline.
The routes of Lima, Bogota and New York have been officially suspended and it is not ruled out that they could return in the future, once Tame recovers from its current situation and has implemented the new fleet plan within its restructuring.

Why does the route to Cali start from Esmeraldas? It is a very strange route, connectivity is limited, and I don't think there is as much direct demand between Cali and Esmeraldas. It is surprising that it is not from Guayaquil or Quito, the latter would be even more understandable since Avianca already flies daily from Guayaquil to Cali.
The route is Quito – Esmeraldas – Cali, it is interborder route, which operates as if it were a domestic flight, which makes it cheaper in its costs.
