By placing the X-wing and TIE in the widest area of the aircraft, gives the impression that the ships came out into space towards the viewer. Two smaller spaceships were placed at the top and bottom edges of the fuselage to reinforce this perspective.. The resulting illusion is of a false dimension, like a classic trompe l'oeil painting where the images seem to jump off the canvas.
Too, inside it still unrevealed, there will be a whole atmosphere alluding to the film and its famous protagonists.
