The airline GCA – Great Colombia of Aviation finally starts flights this 28 November between Cali and Cartagena.
With three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday will begin the long-awaited operations of the new domestic airline colombian.
The launch route will be between the Bonilla Aragón International Airport in Cali and the Rafael Nuñez International Airport in Cartagena, operated with one of its planes. Boeing 737-400.
Schedules
The first flights published on the airline's website are as follows:
- Flight 9A-1500 takes off from Cali at 12:00 hours and lands in Cartagena at 13:22 hours after 1 hours and 22 direct flight minutes.
- Flight 9A-1501 takes off from Cartagena at 14:15 hours and lands back in Cali at 15:45 hours with a duration of 1 hour and 30 direct flight minutes.
Prices
As input values, the airline has raised a single rate per route:
- COP 199.000 Colombian pesos or some $58 US dollars per way including fees and taxes.
- COP 398.000 Colombian pesos or some $116 US dollars roundtrip including fees and taxes.
At the moment the airline allows payments with credit cards from local banks, transfers or payment in cash with the Mercado Pagos system.
A long awaited start

Subsequently, Miami, Guayaquil, Valencia and Lima are considered for the airline's international plan with its initial fleet of eight aircraft, 5 of which are of the Fokker type 50 and 3 Boeing 737-400.
GCA joins the six already existing scheduled airlines in the demanding and growing air market of Colombia.
