LATAM and Delta Air Lines received final approval, without conditions, of your trade agreement (“trans-American Joint Venture Agreement" o "JVA") by the regulatory authority of Brazil -the Administrative Council of Economic Defense (CADE) after its initial approval in September 2020. The JVA seeks to enhance the networks of destinations served by both airlines, delivering a seamless travel experience between North and South America. The Delta-LATAM agreement has already been approved in Uruguay, while the process continues in other countries, including Chile.
“This ruling reinforces the benefits that this type of agreement generates for travelers and allows us to advance in our commitment to deliver more and better connectivity options from South America to the world”, He said CEO de LATAM Airlines Group, Roberto Alvo.
For his part, the CEO of Delta, Ed Bastian commented:
“This final approval in Brazil furthers our mission to give customers in this important market a world-class travel experience and the options they deserve.”. In the future, "We will continue working with LATAM to achieve more benefits for our customers and create the main airline alliance in the Americas.".
