did you ever wonder, which are the planes most produced in aviation history? Today I tell you everything, but surely you did not expect the answer.
Many stories to tell in world aviation and curiosities that I love to share with you so that we can continue learning together and thus promote the aeronautical culture.
The most produced aircraft in history
Perhaps it will be a great surprise for all those fans and curious about aviation, but the most produced is neither a Boeing not a Airbus, but it is a plane that flew for the first time in 1950.
We are talking about the Cessna 172 Skyhawk which has become the most produced aircraft in the world with at least 44.000 units produced since the start of the program. A leading aircraft in the training of pilots on a world scale and that very surely this or its brother Cessna 172 ever passed through more hands than one student pilot.
The Soviet Ilyushin Il-2 Sturmovik is the second most produced aircraft in history with 36.183 built during World War II.
El Messerschmitt Bf 109, one of the main enemies of the Il-2 during the war, ranks third on the production list with 34.852 aircraft built. That total includes the Avia S-199 produced in Czechoslovakia and the Hispano Aviación derivatives HA-1109 and HA-1112 that were built in Spain until 1958.
The table below shows an overview of the 10 Most produced aircraft of all time using figures reported by the Daily Telegraph:

| Ilyushin Il-2 | 36.183 |

Interesting. I knew about the Cessna172, but i didn't know about the others. Thanks and regards
a taste Santiago!
Very interesting and new to me, As for the commercial plane, I estimate it to be the DC-3
Hi Edelio, if we talk about commercial I don't know if the DC-3 could enter, since it was produced for military use, later it was adapted to commercial. I would think the Boeing 737 and all its versions win.
what a good report Nicholas.
Greetings
Thank you very much friend.
