The airline LATAM Ecuador will restart its regular flights between the cities of Quito and Buenos Aires, operating via Lima with planes Airbus A319.
Advancing with the recovery process of its destination network in each of its subsidiaries, LATAM Airlines will take a new step towards recovering the numbers of the 2019 with the return of an important route from Ecuador: Quito – Buenos Aires.
At the moment, LATAM Ecuador maintains a superior domestic operation compared to the 2019, reaching almost a 30% more flights, but internationally it only reaches a 20%, so the challenge of recovering connectivity for the country advances, even more so when a new destination was added as it was Bogota.
LATAM Ecuador restarts flights to Buenos Aires
Let us remember that it is not the first time that the Ecuadorian subsidiary will operate this route, historically it operated non-stop flying from Quito via Guayaquil and even via Santiago de Chile, but since september 2016 this route operates via Lima and it is precisely this connection that returns to the airline's network of destinations.
Starting in October 2022, with a daily flight, LATAM Ecuador will land again in Buenos Aires – Ezeiza at the following times:
- Flight XL1431 takes off from Quito at 18:55 hours and lands in Lima at 21:10 hours.
- Flight XL1432 takes off from Lima at 23:45 hours and lands in Buenos Aires at 06:05 hours of the next day.
The flight has an average duration of 9 hours and 30 minutes. For the return, this is the published itinerary:

Hi Nicolas, Do you see it viable for LATAM to resume its level of operations in the short term?? It was undoubtedly the best alternative to fly in the region and to Miami but now its prices are exorbitant and the possibilities of using miles for exchanges are very unattractive.. Thank you for your attention
Completely, they will return to their operation 2019 and I'm even sure that they will overcome it.
Thanks for your reply Nicholas.. I read your post today and although in Ecuador the level of operation is still behind neighboring countries, Let's hope that the dynamics of the sector lead it to recover as soon as possible.
Greetings
Let's hope so David! Thanks for comment!
