The airline JetSmart Peru has requested to extend its operation with international flights to Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador and Chile.

After having started regular flights in Peru last June, the subsidiary airline of JetSmart has applied for its first international routes to operate mainly, but not exclusively, from Lima.

JetSmart Peru's first international flights

In what will be his first international bet, JetSmart has applied to the Peruvian authority to be granted a Commercial Aviation Operation Permit for the regular international air transportation of passengers., cargo and mail, to operate on the following routes and frequencies:

  • LIMA – LA PAZ – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – SANTA CRUZ – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – COCHABAMBA – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • AREQUIPA – COCHABAMBA – AREQUIPA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • AREQUIPA – LA PAZ – AREQUIPA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies
  • LIMA – BOGOTÁ – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • BOGOTÁ – CUSCO – BOGOTÁ, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • AREQUIPA – BOGOTÁ – AREQUIPA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • AREQUIPA – CARTAGENA – AREQUIPA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • AREQUIPA – MEDELLÍN – AREQUIPA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • AREQUIPA – CALI – AREQUIPA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – MEDELLÍN – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – CARTAGENA – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • FIVE – CALI – FIVE, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – PEREIRA – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – SAN ANDRÉS – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – CÚCUTA – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – QUITO – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – LATACUNGA – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – GUAYAQUIL – LIMA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies.
  • LIMA – SANTIAGO – LIMA, up to sixteen (16) weekly frequencies.
  • AREQUIPA – SANTIAGO – AREQUIPA, up to seven (07) weekly frequencies

These flights will be operated by aircraft Airbus A320 from its main base of operations at the Jorge Chávez International Airport, Callao/Lima and sub-bases at the Captain FAP Carlos Martínez de Pinillos International Airport, Trujillo and Alfredo Rodriguez Ballon International Airport, Arequipa.

Among the news of new routes or routes not previously operated is the intention to fly to Latacunga, Cucuta, Pereira or Cusco via Bogota.

It should be noted that this request does not imply the immediate start of one or all of the routes., But it does allow us to know the intentions of the airline in a commercial way and for future planning.. we will keep updating.

  1. Direct competition with LATAM. Incredible strategy to open international routes from Arequipa. Without a doubt an attraction for those who prefer to avoid transit through Lima.

    The route to Ecuador is VERY necessary. The LA monopoly has become absurd. 800 dollars one way Guayaquil-Lima without hand luggage. It is a mockery and practically a theft, this should be regulated. Hopefully the entry of Jetsmart into Ecuador will serve to grow tourism between these two important countries..
