TAP has announced that it will significantly increase its offer of Americas flights (Brazil, United States and Venezuela) in the summer of 2023, offering a total of 17 additional flights during peak operating period (from june to september) for the same period of 2022 and restoring pre-pandemic supply levels.
For Brazil in regards, the peak of summer 2023, TAP will offer four weekly flights to Belém, one more than in 2022, seven to Belo Horizonte (plus one), six to Salvador (plus one), six to Brasilia (plus one) and 20 a Why?. Paulo (plus two), maintaining its offer compared to the same period last year in the rest of the Brazilian cities where it operates (Fortaleza, Natal, maceio, Porto Alegre, Recife and Rio in January)”, Indian.
Thus, total, in the peak of summer 2023, TAP increases the number of weekly flights to Brazil by six, for the same period of 2022.
Toward USA, TAP will have “14 weekly flights to Boston in the middle of summer (three more than in the same period of 2022), five to chicago (plus one), 10 a Miami (plus three), five to San Francisco (plus one) and 10 a Washington (plus two)”.
According to the company, total, for the American market, TAP will offer 10 weekly flights more than in the summer peak of 2022, and towards New York JFK y New York EWR (Newark) will maintain the offer departing from Lisbon.
In the case of flights with Venezuela the portuguese airline announced the increase in its flights from two to three weekly frequencies, allowing for better connectivity with Lisbon and the hub of TAP with more than 90 destinations offered by the Portuguese airline from its main hub also benefiting the Portuguese community in Venezuela.
The president of TAP has also said that, in addition to the "reinforcement of its transatlantic offer departing from Lisbon", will also “announce, Coming soon, good news regarding its offer of intercontinental flights departing from Porto”, without giving more details.
