LATAM announced the upcoming start of four new international routes from Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Peru toward USA and South America.

Continuing with the recovery and expansion of the airline in the region after having emerged from the process of Chapter 11, LATAM Group officially presented four new flights that will further connect its varied network of routes and destinations from four of its subsidiaries.

New LATAM routes

The LATAM Group delivered the news in its operation announced in recent weeks, among which stands out new routes to start in 2023 to and from South America:

  • Bogota and Orlando, operated by LATAM Airlines Colombia, with daily flights from July.
  • Guayaquil and Bogota operated by LATAM Airlines Ecuador with 7 weekly frequencies from March.
  • Santiago de Chile – Porto Alegre operated by LATAM Airlines Group with 3 weekly frequencies from April.
  • Lima and Brasilia (by LATAM Airlines Peru) with daily flights from April.

In parallel, a new frequency is added on the path between Santiago de Chile and Easter Island/Rapa Nui, totalizing 6 flights per week from february.

Finally, under the Joint Venture with Delta Air Lines, the North American airline announced that it will operate the seasonal route between New York (JFK) and Rio de Janeiro/Galeao (GIG) from 16 December this year.

Operational statistics for January 2023

in January 2023, passenger traffic (measured in rented passenger-kilometres – RPK) grew up 24,9% for the same period of 2022, and operations measured in ASK (available seat kilometers) increased a 23,9%. This meant that the load factor increased 0,7 percentage points, arriving to 81,1%.

in charge, load factor was 51,0%, which corresponds to a decrease in 1,2 percentage points in relation to January 2022.
