Air France restarts flights

Air France continues the reopening of its air network, already very close to the pre-crisis level, resuming its flights from Paris a beijing and Hong Kong.

Following the announcement by the Chinese authorities to lift travel restrictions to/from China, the company progressively increases its offer between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and:

  • beijing (Beijing Capital Airport), currently with one flight a week,
  • Shanghai (Shanghai Pudong Airport), currently with two weekly flights, which will become three from the 3 February 2023,
  • Hong Kong, destination to which the company resumed its services, from the 9 last january, with 3 weekly flights.

From 1 July 2023, Air France will offer a daily flight from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to each of these destinations. The flights to Shanghai will be operated with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft equipped with the new long-haul cabins of Air France and with a capacity of 369 seating (48 in business class, 48 in Premium Economy and 273 en Economy).

The flights to Beijing and Hong Kong will be operated with Boeing 787-9 with a capacity of 279 chairs (30 in business class, 21 in Premium Economy and 228 en Economy).

Present in China from 1966, Air France operated until 32 weekly flights to and from China before the Covid crisis.

British Airways announces its return

After an absence of two years, British Airways has announced that it will resume flights between the UK and mainland China. Tickets for flights to Shanghai from 23 April and Beijing from 3 of June.

British Airways first flew to China in 1980 and continued to do so until the pandemic. The airline has been working hard to reintroduce these important routes to allow customers to reunite with family and friends..
