The Quito International Airport announced the closure of its operations due to the preventive maintenance of its runway since September.
Formally known as Mariscal Sucre International Airport, It is the main airport of Ecuador and is located at Tababela, to some 18 kilometers east of the city of Quito.

- 2 and 9 September between 02:00 until 14:00 hours.
- 16, 23 and 30 September between 02:00 until 12:00 hours.
- 14, 21 and 28 October between 02:00 until 12:00 hours.
As we can see, there will be a total of eight Saturdays that the airport will be closed for periods of 10 and 12 hours according to each day indicated above.
It is important to indicate that, the airport scheduled this closure in advance and the airlines were previously notified, so possibly if you travel that day your flight was already rescheduled in advance.
