There is several new good news with LATAM Airlines, one of them where the airline will have flights between Lima and Havana as well as having received a new airplane for the first time using PURE.

This week several novelties were presented with the LATAM group and its different subsidiaries, where the official announcement of return flights to Havana from October stands out, as well as the increase in flights on several other routes throughout its destination network.

In this installment we are going to review what these main novelties are.

LATAM will have flights from Lima to Havana

New features include a daily flight between Lima and Caracas, from the 1 of August; and the Lima operation – Havana, from 29 October, in addition to the operation BogotaOrlando (under the commercial agreement with Delta Air Lines). The airline's long-awaited return to Cuba it finally materializes, promoting the island's connectivity with the entire American continent from the hub in Lima.

These flights that are already on sale on the airline's website will operate on Tuesdays, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at the following times:

  • Flight LA2410 will take off from Lima at 09:15 hours and lands in Havana at 15:45 hours after 5 hours and 30 flight minutes.
  • Flight LA2411 takes off from Havana at 16:15 hours and lands back in Lima at 21:40 hours after 5 hours and 25 minutes.

These flights that have a value from $432.99 round trip including taxes and fees, will be operated on Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft offering more than 1.200 monthly seats.

After transporting more than 5.9 million passengers during June, The airline also informed about the news regarding new routes and frequencies in its different subsidiaries:

LATAM receives first aircraft using SAF

Group LATAM and Airbus they made their first delivery flight (Ferry Flight) with sustainable aviation fuel (PURE), between the cities of Toulouse (France) and strength (Brazil).

The flight, which used a fuel mixture with 30% PURE, produced from used cooking oil, was carried out in a A320neo, aircraft with advanced technology to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and is part of the fleet renewal project LATAM which will allow the group to operate more than 100 family planes A320neo at the end of this decade.

At the end of this year, LATAM hopes to have in operation 31 A320neo family aircraft within the renewal plan, reaching the group to have a total fleet of 323 planes at the end of the 2023. This will allow it not only to complement its current fleet of new generation aircraft, but also to become one of the most modern and efficient fleets in South America., further improving your connectivity. Currently, the group operates 1.500 daily flights to 147 destinations in 24 countries.
