What are the countries of Latin America who travel and visit the most USA? I share some very interesting statistics about it.

Day by day there are more flights connecting Latin America with our great neighbor to the north, USA, where thanks to applications like Flight Radar 24 we can see that on average they are more than 500 Daily flights (or even more with endless routes) those that operate between both huge geographical points.

after the pandemic, traveler numbers fell worldwide, countries shut down and airlines went bankrupt. Now, having overcome this scenario, the airline industry in another context is recovering and even, many new routes that were not flown before the virus, they have inaugurated. Here, flights between the United States and Latin America have not been the exception.

The countries that send the most travelers to the United States

With this initial context, We are going to review which are the top countries in number of travelers from Latin America to the United States, all this to a new tool that I met during the IPW 2023 in san antonio, texas call Data Visualization Created by the Department of International Trade of the USA, which allows knowing in depth statistics of travelers to and from this country.

With this information at hand and public, I have prepared a series of data that you will surely find very interesting to learn more about how we Latin Americans travel to USA, an expensive destination, but that continues to attract us more and more each day.

During the 2022, USA received a total of 42.820.825 visitors from every corner of the world, of this great universe, 13.215.138 correspond to travelers from Latin America, a very representative number corresponding to the 30% of all visitors to this country.

In this way, Now is the time to find out which are the countries that travel the most to US territory from each of our countries with data at 2022:

Country annual travelers
Mexico 4,800,000
Brazil 1,100,000
Colombia 994,000
Argentina 525,000
Dominican Republic 432,000
Chile 412,000
Ecuador 370,000
Peru 308,000
Guatemala 257,000
Costa Rica 255,000
Honduras 236,000
The Savior 220,000
Venezuela 215,000
Panama 145,000
Bolivia 63,000
Uruguay 63,000
Nicaragua 51,000
Paraguay 24,000
Cuba 23,000

As we can see, not only by proximity, but also for holidays or VFR (visit friends and family), Mexico strongly leads this list with almost 5 million travelers (imagine how many flights there are between both countries, and these numbers do not include land), followed by Brazil with something more than 1 million passengers.

the top 5 Colombia closes it with almost 1 million travelers, Argentina with half a million, followed by Dominican Republic with 432 thousand and Chile with something more than 400 thousand passengers. An important honorable mention for Ecuador, which is in sixth place in the region with 370 travelers issued to the United States.

Only South America is responsible for 4 million two hundred thousand passengers to the United States.

What states do travelers visit??

Now we will talk about what are the destinations within USA that we Latin Americans visit the most when we travel to this country. concretely, the 61.45 of Latinos visit Florida, followed by New York with the 21.93%, California with the 8.41% and Texas 4.69% close the top 4.

This relationship goes hand in hand with the number of flights from each of these destinations to our countries..
