The airline Cargolux resumed its regular cargo flights to Quito, Ecuador initially operating on a weekly basis.
It was during the beginning of the pandemic, more than three years ago, that we saw land in Ecuador the last regular flight of the traditional cargo airline Cargolux on its route that goes through several airports before landing in Quito.
At that time, given a volatile demand and which was mainly focused on the Asian market due to the global need for medical supplies and later vaccines., Cargolux decided to focus its efforts on those markets where there was a greater need for cargo flights to meet global needs.
Years have passed and the global freight business has started to shrink, but there are some markets that stand out despite the global situation, Latin America and especially the Quito airport have shown favorable numbers and growth compared to other regions, data that surely were observed by the airline to determine their return to the country and other intermediate points on the route.
Cargolux restarted its flights to Quito
It is worth clarifying that the airline was already flying to Quito, but in charter mode, so it was not uncommon to see it lately in our airspace, but having restarted its regular flights, we can be sure that it will initially arrive weekly on Wednesdays from the Alfonso Pena de Curitiba in Brazil.
for your first flight, I participated in its arrival in its regular restart of operations in the Quito airport, so I prepared this new Aero Report available at the canal de YouTube:
