What's more, These agreements will allow the exchange and reciprocal accumulation of points/miles through the companies' frequent flyer programs., benefiting the 48 million members LATAM Pass and more of 4 millions of Aerolíneas Plus members.

“Travel options for customers are expanding, reaching multiple destinations in Argentina and the region. These agreements provide greater benefits as a result of the extensive network of destinations that Aerolíneas Argentinas has, which strengthens the flight connectivity of the LATAM group in the region., commented Soledad Berrios, Director of Strategic Alliances of the LATAM group.

For his part, Leandro Serino, Network Planning Manager, Itineraries and Alliances of Argentine Airlines, added: “This agreement will allow us to strengthen our Aerolíneas Plus program and expand the offer of destinations in the region for our passengers.”, in addition to giving LATAM customers the possibility of taking advantage of the entire Aerolíneas Argentinas local flight offer.".

The agreements of shared code are subject to approval by the relevant authorities, and its implementation will begin in the coming months.

What do you think of this agreement?? Is this perhaps the beginning of something bigger between both airlines within a process of sale/privatization of Argentinian airlines?
