airlines Emirates and Avianca announced the launch of a new agreement shared code for flights to/from Europe.
Emirates, the largest international airline in the world, and Avianca, one of the largest airlines in Latin America, are pleased to announce the launch of a new codeshare agreement. This strategic partnership will allow customers of both airlines to enjoy seamless connectivity on select routes.
Code shared between Emirates and Avianca
The passengers of Emirates that fly from its network of destinations through Madrid, Barcelona o Londres Heathrow, will now be able to fly directly to three major cities in Colombia: Bogota, Medellin and Cali. In addition to this direct connection, This agreement offers other benefits for travelers, such as greater convenience and the possibility of booking the entire itinerary on a single ticket.
The flights with shared code include: Madrid is Bogotá, Medellin or Cali; Barcelona and Bogotá; and Londres Heathrow to Bogota. Tickets are now available for immediate purchase at emirates.com, avianca.com, the applications of Emirates and Avianca, contact centers or through online and in-person travel agencies. Codeshare flights will begin on 4 of June.
Avianca will place its code on routes operated by Emirates between Barcelona, Madrid o London Heathrow and Dubai. Colombian airline customers will fly on wide-body aircraft operated by Emirates, enjoying a pleasurable travel experience that includes gourmet menus, fully reclining seats in premium cabins and an award-winning in-flight entertainment system with more than 6.500 movie channels, programs, music and more, including content in Spanish.
Passengers of both airlines will benefit from the convenience of a seamless connection, the ease of booking itineraries on both companies with a single ticket, Competitive fares and a unique checked baggage policy to final destination.
