GOAL Líneas Aereas began selling tickets for its new route between Brasilia and Bogota, its newest international base.

As announced in April during an event in the Colombian capital, which was attended by presidents Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Gustavo Petro, This flight will connect both capitals three times a week, round trip, from 4 February 2025.

Since April, GOL operates in Bogotá with flights from Guarulhos/San Pablo and Buenos Aires/Ezeiza, and now it expands its offer in one of the main cities of the continent. What's more, This announcement reinforces the importance of Brasilia Airport as a strategic hub for the company, where GOAL already has flights to Miami and Orlando, and in December it will connect directly with Cancun again.

In Bogota, clients will have connections to more than 50 destinations operated by Avianca, What Cartagena, Quito, Medellin, Lima, Barranquilla, Mexico City, Cali, Guayaquil, Saint Andrew, Curacao, San Salvador, Guatemala city, City of Panama, Santo Domingo, among others.

Passengers flying to or from Colombia, and have as their destination another Brazilian city connected to Brasilia, They will be able to make a free stopover in the capital of Brazil. This will allow them to disembark with their luggage and stay for up to two nights before continuing their trip.. This service is now available at GOL from 2019 for those who want to make an intermediate stop in San Pablo and, more recently, also in Rio de Janeiro.

“The operation between Brasilia and Bogotá will be a milestone for Brazil and Colombia, joining two of the main hubs of GOL and Avianca. From the two capitals, companies serve more than 80 destinations with 310 daily takeoffs, commented Rafael Araújo, GOL Airline Network Planning Director. “Expanding the offer of international flights is one of the company's objectives to 2024 and Bogota, with its strategic position connecting South American countries, Central and North, “It presents the ideal conditions to further integrate our people and reinforce our commitment to the democratization of transportation on the continent.”, added.

The flights between Brasilia and Bogotá will be operated on models Boeing 737 MAX 8, the most sustainable aircraft in the GOL fleet, which in international configuration has the capacity to 176 passengers.

The new route between Brasilia and Bogotá adds to the important news that GOL presented in recent months. On 2024, the airline will also offer flights to Aruba, in the Caribbean, and to Saint Joseph, in Costa Rica, both exclusive destinations from Guarulhos.
