Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), member of the group Lufthansa, has received his first of ten Airbus A350-900.
Supporting the airline's fleet modernization program, el widebody (wide body aircraft) next-generation aircraft is destined to become the flagship aircraft of SWISS. The A350 will operate long-haul routes from its base in Zurich to destinations such as Boston, strengthening the airline's global network.
SWISS takes delivery of its first A350
the airbus A350-900 is the first aircraft in the SWISS long-haul fleet to be equipped with the new SWISS Senses cabin. Designed to provide a more personal and comfortable air travel experience for passengers in all seat classes. The aircraft cabin is configured with a four-class layout, offering three suites with up to four seats in First Class, 45 seats in business, 38 in Premium Economy and 156 en Economy.
The A350 It is the most modern wide-body aircraft in the world and has set new standards for intercontinental travel. All-new A350 design includes cutting-edge technologies and aerodynamics delivering unrivaled standards of efficiency and comfort. Its new generation engines and the use of lightweight materials provide an advantage of 25% in fuel consumption, operating costs and carbon dioxide emissions (CO 2) compared to competing aircraft of the previous generation. The A350-900 is equipped with a comfortable and spacious Airspace cabin, wide seats, high ceilings and attractive ambient lighting.
Like all airplanes Airbus, The A350 is now capable of operating with up to 50% of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (PURE). Airbus aims to ensure that its aircraft are capable of operating with a 100% from SAF to 2030.
At the end of September 2025, the A350 had achieved more than 1.400 requests for 63 clients all over the world.
