The Dominican airline Arajet announced a new commercial agreement with the Carrasco International Airport, that will allow you to connect to Montevideo with Punta Cana.
The alliance was presented during an event held in the country's main air terminal, in an event that was attended by the Minister of Tourism, Pablo Menoni, and authorities of the Carrasco Airport and the airline.
This activity also marked the beginning of the sale of tickets for the first flights, that will begin operating on 3 March of 2027, joining directly for the first time to Uruguay with Dominican Republic and strengthening the country's connectivity with the Caribbean.

This new route will allow Uruguayans to access the 29 destinations in which the airline operates, some of them highly chosen by travelers, like Cancun, Miami and Orlando. From its hubs in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, Arajet allows Uruguayan travelers to easily connect with 29 destinations in North America, Central America and the Caribbean, strengthening regional connectivity and promoting tourism, business and exchange between the countries of the region.
Flights will have a frequency of three times a week., on Monday, thursday and saturday, and will be operated on airplanes Boeing 737 MAX 8, that stand out for their modernity, operational efficiency and sustainability.
