    • Regional position: 1° in Latin America

Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport consolidates its position as the most connected hub in all of Latin America. With an increase of three positions compared to the previous year to place itself in the box 13 Worldwide, The Colombian capital demonstrates the solidity of its route network and its strategic role as a key bridge between South America, North America, Central America and Europe.

Closing the block of the four Latin American airports in the Top 50 global is located at the São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport. As the main entry and exit door to Brazil, GRU remains in position 47, ratifying the importance of the Brazilian market in long-range route networks, especially towards Europe and the South Atlantic.

The edition 2026 of OAG Megahubs demonstrates that aviation in Latin America maintains solid competitive health, led with great success by Bogotá, that stands proud at the Top 20 world. Dependence on large network airlines (as we saw in the case of Panama with Copa, or the weight of Avianca in Bogotá and LATAM in the region) remains the key formula to enhance efficient connections in our skies.
