Air traffic in July 2026: main results
- Regional air traffic grew again in July.
- The region mobilized 43,1 million passengers, 0,7% more than in July 2025, equivalent to 310 additional thousand passengers. The result represents an improvement compared to June, when the traffic dropped 2,3%, although growth remains below that observed during the first quarter.
- Growth was concentrated within Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Domestic traffic increased 1,3% and the international intraregional 2,6%. By contrast, extra-regional international traffic decreased 1,0%. Domestic flights represented 54,4% of regional traffic.
- Brazil, Panama and Colombia recorded the largest increases in passengers.
- Brazil added 278 thousand passengers (+2,4%), Panama 270 one thousand (+14,5%) and Columbia 144 one thousand (+2,8%). On the whole, the three markets contributed 692 thousand additional passengers and offset the reductions recorded in other countries. Panama completed seven consecutive months with double-digit growth, while Brazil and Colombia returned to positive territory after the falls recorded in June.
- Mexico grew again after four consecutive months of contraction.
- The country mobilized 11,07 million passengers (+0,7%). The domestic market grew 5,0% and added 289 thousand passengers, compensating for a drop in 4,0% in international traffic. Mexico–United States fell 5,4%, equivalent to 207 a thousand fewer passengers.
- Extra-regional traffic continued to show a weaker performance.
- Eight of the ten main extra-regional markets decreased in July. Mexico–United States, the highest volume broker, fell 5,4%. Dominican Republic–United States decreased 2,0%, while Brazil-Portugal fell 1,0%. Panama–United States (+10,4%) and Bahamas–United States (+6,6%) were among the few major brokers who grew.

Intraregional traffic accumulated the greatest growth (+4,9%), followed by domestic (+2,6%), while the extra-regional remained practically unchanged (-0,1%).
