In this installment we will review the different and new basic rules to be able to fly again regularly in flights worldwide.

Little by little, regular commercial passenger flights are resumed in the different countries of the world and the region of Latin America not far behind, the planes take off little by little.

In this framework and after having personally flown twice since the flights were opened again in Ecuador, I want to summarize for you everything you must take into account for this experience, it doesn't have to be negative or overwhelming.

Here you can see and read the reports I made of these flights by clicking on the link:

Rules for flying again

Well, once they could read the respective reports, I leave the basic rules or everything that you must take into account for this new modality and normality of flying:

  • The use of face mask is mandatory at all times.
    • You must always use it in the airport terminal.
    • You must use it for the entire duration of the flight.
    • Breathe calm and deep in case you feel uncomfortable during the flight.
  • You should be responsible with the use of the mask for your health and that of others.
  • You can easily carry your bottle of alcohol-gel for permanent disinfection of your hands.
    • If you don't wear it, you will find dispensers throughout the airport and on airplanes you can also ask for it.
    • Some airlines provide disinfectant wipes.
  • The process of access to airports, check-in and filters it may take longer by temperature check, distance or documents according to travel requirements of each country, Be patient!
    • For domestic flights I recommend you to be with 2 a 3 hours in advance,
    • and for international flights 3 a 4 hours before your flight departure.
    • Check-in online and bring your printed or digital boarding pass.
  • In the waiting room keep the social separation, just like you do in any public place.
  • Respect the order of boarding and disembarking to avoid crowds.
    • All safety instructions will be announced over the loudspeakers, so you must be attentive to the instructions of the ground staff and cabin crew.
  • Travel light, the cabin crew They will not be able to help you place your carry-on in the overhead compartments.
  • Don't panic if you share a full plane or there are passengers in every seat in your row.
  • During the flight you can only get up to use exclusive to the bathroom.
  • You can only remove your mask temporarily to ingest food or liquid.
  • Take your own entertainment (iPad, books, song, etc.) airlines have turned off their entertainment systems and removed magazines to prevent tampering.
  • Avoid talking with your neighbor passenger and interact the least.
  • Travel calm, the airline industry is the more regulated means of transport and controlled the world.

Will you travel safely with these biosecurity measures?
