The 22 September 1946 se stablecíAn the first commercial flights between Europe and Américh latina, to celebrate it, Iberia madeó an event at Casa de América, with the presence of the Secretary of State for Iberoamérica, representatives of the embassies of the países of the regionón and the Madrid City Council, and personalities of Latin American culture and sports.
Además, Iberia and the EFE agency inaugurate at the Casa de Américh an exhibitionón about these 75 añflights with historic photosórich from this operationón.

Iberia celebrates 75º anniversary of your flights with Américh latina, its main market and on which it has developed its entire strategy in the úlast toños, building a real bridge toéprisoner between Europe and Latinamérica, and turning Madrid into the main gateway from Iberoamérich towards the old continent.
History
Was the 22 September 1946 when an Iberia DC-4 leftó from Madrid airportñor Barajas (although without paying passengers and alone 28 people among guests, airline staffíline and authorities), heading to Buenos Aires, establishing así the first regular flights between Europe and Américh latina. The route of those first flights was Madrid – Villa Cisneros – Natal – Montevideo – Buenos Aires. A trip of 36 hours, including stops.
In total they were 36 flight hours and 8 dítravel that allowed us to establish the first connectionón from Europe with our regionón, to be operated each 10 días and gradually thanks to the ésuccess of the route, frequencies were increased at a price of 7.250 pesetas or some $659 dólares to the change of the élittle.
Since then, Iberia has operated uninterruptedly with Américh latina, demonstrating their commitment in good times and not so good times.
Iberia and the pandemic
Iberia has been gradually recovering its flights with Latinomérica and, in the winter season, offerá más de 200 direct flights per week to 17 destinations in 15 países of the regionón.

Spaghettién has been able to transport tons of medical supplies to this regionóno and, más recently, vaccines for paíyou are like El Salvador, México, Chile, Uruguay, RepúDominican War, Montevideo, Ecuador or Peruú.
