Textron Aviation announced that Sichuan Longhao Flight Training Co., Ltd. (Longhao Flight Training School) in China, has signed a purchase agreement for 20 piston aircraft Cessna Skyhawk. The aircraft, which is expected to be delivered over the course of 2022, will be used for primary pilot training in southwestern and central China, further expanding and improving Longhoa's training efforts.
China continues to experience an increasing number of licensed pilots in recent years following efforts by the State Council General Office to speed up pilot training and development.
Currently, the school uses 14 Skyhawk aircraft and three simulators flight for pilot training, as well as a Cessna Citation M2 as an advanced trainer aircraft.
