EquAir began its regular domestic commercial flights within Ecuador with flights between Quito – Guayaquil and Galapagos (Baltra).
After a postponement in its start of operations generated by contagions in its crew that is generating massive cancellations worldwide of flights, officially started last 10 of January of 2022 regular flights from EquAir.
I was invited to the inaugural flight until Galapagos, in order to show all the details of the operation and service of the new Ecuadorian airline that with its fleet of two boeing planes 737-700 will seek to position itself effectively in an air market that has a lot of potential.
This was the beginning of EquAir's commercial flight operations
As you may have read on my social networks, The first flight was made at 6:50 in the morning with flight EQX1020 between Quito and Guayaquil, with which it officially started its regular domestic operations in the country.
Subsequently, at 8 my flight would leave in the morning, this being the first regular operation towards the Galapagos Islands from EquAir, in which authorities and special guests participated.
With this context, we start this new flight report, which started very early in the Quito airport at 6 am given that to travel to Galapagos we must arrive earlier to obtain the Transit Control Card and go through the respective health controls such as a negative PCR test and vaccination card.

In Zone A of check-in are the spaces designated for EquAir, divided into special assistance zone, bag drop if you did the online check-in and you will only deliver your suitcase, Cacao (economical) and Grand Cocoa (business).

as I told you, the service was expanded, but for the Gran Cacao class what you see in the photo below will be offered for the hour it was a sandwich, but for later flights, hot food will be offered, such as a chicken jerky returning to the continent.

After arriving in Baltra, the third water arch of the day was carried out (you can see it in the video of the report) we disembarked the plane and a small act of start of operations was carried out together with local and airport authorities.

Later we started our return to Guayaquil, having thus inaugurated a new airline that enters to compete with three other regular domestic companies, benefiting the country's economy and air transport users.
