the canadian airline Air Canada Cargo premiered the first of his Boeing 767 with flights to Latin America.

Air Canada Cargo operated in the past 3 January 2021 his first flight to Latin America, specifically to Quito and Lima, with its "new" Boeing 767-300 converted to freighter recently and still wears the old colors of the Canadian airline.

This new cargo flight will be visiting both Quito and Lima three times a week. This means that it will replace the operation of the Airbus A330-300 that operated as freighters, between canada, Ecuador and Peru.

Let us remember that the airline already operated previously in the seasonal passenger transport to Mariscal Sucre with its subsidiary Air Canada Rouge between december 2019 and may of 2020, but the flights were canceled due to the pandemic. This route was operated by Boeing 767-300.

Subsequently, with the desire to increase trade between Canada and Latin America in the midst of the health crisis, the airline operated flights with its Airbus A330-300 specially adapted to carry cargo between July 2020 and December 2021.

From the 3 January the airline will operate on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday, at the moment with the only Boeing 767-300(IS)(BDSF) What does the airline have?, registered C-FPCA with the capacity to transport up to 58 tons.

  1. It's good that they begin to improve cargo connectivity to Latin America, I will really miss the A330 a bit, I saw them outside the airport once and I thought the painting was beautiful but I understand that having a specialized cargo plane would be more efficient, It's nice that the flights start in Quito and Lima, It means that we are important cargo countries and that more airlines will pay attention to us in the future.. Good post as always good information.
