The Ecuadorian subsidiary of Avianca continues to outline its possible growth plans in the medium or long term, all subject to market conditions, fleet availability and performanceón commercial.
In this way, together with the orders made to Cusco and Caracas, it's added now tooén a new potential destination: Punta Cana. One of the destinations más sought-after vacations in the Caribbean and top of mind for Ecuadorians.
Avianca Ecuador is looking for flights to Punta Cana
Before the aero authorityáutica del Ecuador, as initial process, the airíEcuadorian line requested the modificationón of the operating permitón for performanceón the transportation service toéreo, público, international, regular, passenger, cargo and mail, in combined form, with úlast modificationón the 09 February 2023 in order to include the following routes and frequencies:
- QUITO and/or GUAYAQUIL – PUNTA CANA and vice versa with up to 7 weekly frequencies and with third and fourth rights freedoms from air.
with planes Airbus A320 with capacity for 180 passengers, be searchedá operate these frequencies, that as I indicatedé, to dependá that the correct conditions are met to start these flights on a regular and rentable.
At the moment, there are no regular flights between Ecuador and Punta Cana, but yesí toward Santo Domingo with Arajet, and it should be noted at this point that Equair has also requestedén una posible operationón on said route.
