The Ecuadorian airline Aeroregional will be able to operate new scheduled international flights to Punta Cana, Tegucigalpa and Prince Port.
Aeroregional continues its growth process, both on routes and on planes, that after incorporating its fifth aircraft, is now preparing for a new stage of potential new international routes.
With the aim of targeting new markets not served since Ecuador and thus join its two regular weekly frequencies to Panama – Peaceful plus its weekly charter frequency to Caracas, the Ecuadorian Aeroregional will be able, if your business plans warrant it, start operating flights to three new destinations.
Possible new international Aeroregional flights
Last 5 march 2024, The airline requested the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Ecuador – DGAC modifies its operating permit for the regular international public air transport service for passengers and cargo, in order to include the following routes and frequencies:
- Quito and/or Guayaquil – Punta Cana and vice versa, up to three (3) weekly frequencies, with third to fourth rights and freedoms of the air;
- Quito and/or Guayaquil – Port-au-Prince and vice versa, up to four (4) weekly frequencies, with third to fourth rights and freedoms of the air;
- Quito and/or Guayaquil – Tegucigalpa and vice versa, up to five (5) weekly frequencies, with third to fourth rights and freedoms of the air;
After the respective favorable reports, the DGAC of Ecuador approved this modification last 27 march 2024, with which the airline is empowered to request the respective similar procedure before the authorities of Dominican Republic, Haiti and Honduras.
These assigned frequencies are added to Lima, Bogota, Cali, Mexico City, Cancún and Caracas which are also part of your regular international operating permit.
Regarding the possible start of flights to one or more of these new additions, no further details have been known., but the moment it is known, I will be updating the information as always in this space.
