In addition to increasing its general capacity by 18%, Wingo will restart five international routes from mid-June.

Wingo expands its offer of international flights to satisfy the natural increase in demand due to the start of the mid-year holiday season, substantially marked by the school period of free days in Colombia.

In this way, and with the objective of adding more chairs at low cost for the Colombian market, the airline will add 33 thousand seats on five international routes, which represents about 180 additional flights between the months of June and August, months where the focus of this holiday season takes place. Total, the airline will grow 18% in international capacity in said months.

Wingo increases capacity in June

Additional chairs will become available during the week of 16 of June, having staggered starts according to the start of each seasonal route. The five routes that will be reactivated are the following: BogotaCancún, Bogota – Curacao, Medellín – Cancún, Medellin – Curacao and Cali – Aruba.

If this increase in chairs offered is projected, the addition is more than 4 1,000 additional low-cost seats per week, which reflects a considerable growth in supply for these destinations in the Caribe.

“For this 2025, Wingo continues working to offer a network product according to the needs and preferences of our travelers; That is why the reactivation of these five routes, focused on the high holiday season, demonstrates not only our understanding of the traveler, but our intention to add additional chairs at a low cost, just at times when the market needs and demands them”, said Jorge Jimenez, Commercial and Planning Vice President of Wingo.
