The CHANGI AIRPORT from Singapore, thirteen-time winner of the Best Airport in the World award, has been named Airport of the Year 2026. The CEO of Changi Airport Group, Mr. Yam Kum Weng, received the award, along with four other important awards: Best Airport Restaurant in the World, Best Airport in the World in the category of 60 a 70 million passengers, Best Airport Immigration Service in the World and Best Airport from Asia.

The World Airport Awards ceremony 2026 began with the presentation of the latest SKYTRAX ratings:
- Rome Ciampino Airport: awarded with the classification of regional airport of 4 stars
- Punta Cana International Airport: awarded with the classification of airport of 4 stars
- Fukuoka International Airport: awarded with the classification of regional airport of 5 stars
- Haikou Meilan International Airport: awarded with the classification of airport of 5 stars Rating
- Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport: awarded with the rating of 5 stars.
Seoul Incheon Airport ranks second in the world in 2026 and earned the prestigious title of World's Most Family Friendly Airport.
Tokyo Haneda Airport ranks third in the world and received three major awards: Cleanest Airport in the World (Main Airport), Best National Airport in the World and Best Accessible and Disabled Facilities in the World.
Hong Kong International Airport rose to fourth place in the world and received the coveted award for Best Airport Toilets in the World, as well as the award for the Best Airport Security Control in the World.
London Heathrow Airport received a major award for Best Airport Commercial Area in the World.
Nagoya Chubu Centrair International Airport revalidated the award for Best Regional Airport in the World and the title of Best Regional Airport in Asia.
Another success in Japan was for Aso Kumamoto Airport, which received the award for Best New Airport Terminal in the World.
Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport wins World's Most Improved Airport award, thanks to an impressive improvement in its global ranking compared to previous years, reflection of the recent inauguration of its Terminal 2 international, recently modernized.
Paris CDG Airport achieved success by winning the Best Airport in Europe award for the fifth consecutive year, and its sister airport, Paris Orly Airport, won the top award for Best Regional Airport in Europe.
New Chitose Airport, not Hokkaido, Japan, won an important award as the Cleanest Airport in the World (for up to 30 million passengers).
The terminal 2 Kansai International Airport repeated the success of previous years, by winning the award for the Best Low Cost Terminal in the World.
Taoyuan International Airport, Taiwan, repeated his success in the edition of 2026, by winning the top award for Best Luggage Delivery Service in the World.
The Houston Airport System remains the undisputed leader by winning the award for Best Airport Art in the World for the fourth consecutive year.
Rome Fiumicino Airport was named Best Airport in Southern Europe, Helsinki Vanta Airport the Best Airport in Northern Europe, and Budapest Airport once again won the title of Best Airport in Eastern Europe.
Munich Airport triumphed at the awards ceremony, obtaining the awards for Best Airport Staff in Europe and Best Airport in Central Europe.
Cape Town Airport was the big winner in Africa, receiving two awards: Best Airport in Africa and Best Airport Staff Service in Africa.
Delhi International Airport won Best Airport in India and South Asia, and Hyderabad Airport received the award for Best Airport Staff Service in India and South Asia. Bengaluru Airport awarded Best Regional Airport in India and South Asia.
In the category of Best Airport Hotels, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport was awarded Best Airport Hotel in the World and Best Airport Hotel in Asia.
The Grand Hyatt at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) received the award for Best Airport Hotel in North America for the second time, and the Hilton Munich Airport won the award for Best Airport Hotel in Europe.
Pullman Brisbane Airport won Best Airport Hotel in Australia and the Pacific Region, and the Taj Bangalore repeated as winner of the award for Best Airport Hotel in India and South Asia.
Hyatt Regency Shenzhen Named Best Airport Hotel in China, Le Méridien Cairo Airport the Best Airport Hotel in Africa, and the Movenpick Bahrain the award for Best Airport Hotel in the Middle East.
