The restructuring of the aircraft interior covers strategic changes in the different classes of service:

  • Main Cabin Extra: Expansion of the number of MCE seats on most single-aisle aircraft, guaranteeing more legroom, priority boarding, dedicated overhead compartments and complimentary drink.
  • Renovated interiors: Seat redesign, Greater trunk storage capacity and an improved lighting system.

Return of individual screens from 2028

From 2028, American Airlines will begin equipping its narrow-body aircraft—both new Airbus and Boeing deliveries and retrofits—with state-of-the-art individual screens. The full deployment of this technology in the single aisle fleet is planned for the beginning of the next decade.

The new in-flight entertainment system will offer:

  • Pantallas 4K: Large format deployments among the largest in the narrowbody market in North America.
  • Modern connectivity: USB-C fast charging ports and Bluetooth audio pairing for personal wireless headphones at every seat.
  • Custom content: Adapted recommendations, expanded movie catalog, series and games, along with interactive flight maps with real-time destination information.

Comprehensive investment in the passenger experience

These improvements are added to the incorporation of the connectivity service Wi-Fi high speed with Starlink on single-aisle aircraft from 2027, the increase in the network of Flagship® and Admirals Club® lounges, and the updating of its gastronomic proposals on board. with this plan, American Airlines seeks to consolidate a high-level value proposition for the corporate and leisure traveler.
